The stage is set for a spectacular game at Emerald Headingley today after England levelled the series with a comprehensive win at Lord’s on Saturday.

A magnificent hundred from Yorkshireman Joe Root, and a maiden international fifty from David Willey, led England to a commanding 322 for 7 off their 50 overs. India were then only able to muster 236 all out in reply, with no batsman going past fifty. Eight wickets fell to Yorkshire bowlers, with Liam Plunkett the pick removing four Indian batsman.

England have won all four of the ODIs played at Emerald Headingley since India’s last visit in 2014, when Root scored a hundred. Only five of the eleven that wore the Three Lions jersey in that game look set to feature tomorrow, with the team now proving itself as something of a powerhouse in one-day cricket.

If you haven’t been lucky enough to secure a ticket, you can follow the game on Sky Sports Cricket, BBC Test Match special or by the blog!
