The Vikings will sport a navy, V-Neck jersey made from lightweight polyester, incorporating the subtle Yorkshire rose design which proved popular in the 2017 light blue T20 Blast shirt.

The striking contrast between the Yorkshire yellow and navy is expected to be a huge hit with the Yorkshire faithful, and will look even more impressive under the Headingley lights.

It also features moisture wicking technology, which quickly draws sweat away from the body, and underarm panelling for advanced movement in the shoulder area.

  • Club Chairman Steve Denison said: “It’s always very exciting when the new kit gets launched. It’s almost like the start of a new season and the lads are back in training this morning.

“Personally, I really like it. It’s really modern, but still has all the tradition that goes with the Club.

“The launch video reflects how, as a Club, we’re trying to build the shirt launch into an event. It’s all about building excitement, not just about the kits, but about the new season. Next season will be here in no time and this just starts that process. Creating an event around the shirts, which the players will wear all season is a great thing to do.

“There was a strong feeling of a ‘changing of the guard’ at the end of last season, particularity from a bowling point of view. I think its great that we’ve been able to showcase young players through all the promotional material. Building on the game time that some of our very talented youngsters got last season, in 2018 and 2019 these guys are going to be featuring regularly. They are the foundations, not just for this season, but for the next five or 10 years. And the most pleasing aspect is that we’ve grown them all ourselves.”

  • The kit is available to pre-order as of 9am on Monday November 13 with the first deliveries expected to be dispatched from December 1.
