A truncated day 3 finished early at 4.15pm when a heavy downpour caused play to be abandoned and the match finished as a draw.
Derbyshire started the day trailing by 54 with foour wickets remaining. Liam Plunkett had Cork caught behind, down the leg side for 28 and this coincided with a break of more than an hour because of rain.
We recommenced at 12.26 pm and 340-7 quickly became 347-9. With nine wickets having fallen lunch was delayed but only by 1 ball as the last wicket fell to give Yorkshire a lead of 30 with 64 overs remaining in the day.
Will Rhodes joined Tom Kohler-Cadmore to open our 2nd innings, however with 12 on the board they were both back in the Pavilion. Skipper, Tim Bresnan joined Jack Leaning and they remained unbeaten at tea with the score at 84-2:- Bresnan 30 not out from 52 and Leaning 37 not out from 77 balls – the partnership having spanned 122 balls.
After the tea break only one more over was possible with the addition of 1 more run.
