Report: Yorkshire 2nd XI v Hampshire 2nd XI (T20)

— 11 August 2017

There was to be no “white ball” double as Yorkshire lost in the 1st semi-final failing to add the T20 title to their 50 over success.
Despite heavy rain in the previous days play started on time. Hampshire won the toss and asked a young Yorkshire team to bat first.

Tattersall and Birkhead added 21 before the former became the 1st of 3 run outs in our innings. The openers each made 12 and only Will Rhodes (11), Jordan Thompson (10) and Matthew Waite (29) reached double figures as we were all out for 100 in the 19th over. Only 5 fours and 2 sixes were struck.

We used 7 bowlers but only Karl Carver was successful with 1-15 from 3 overs as Hampshire reached their target with 8.2 overs to spare to win by 9 wickets. Jimmy Adams was 57 no from 38 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes.
