Any thoughts of finishing the innings early were dispelled by a sixth wicket stand of 53 in 90 balls before Steve Patterson dismissed Panayi to give Andrew Hodd his eighth catch of the game. Yates was bowled by Carver for 45 and a third wicket of the morning session was taken last ball before lunch to leave Warwickshire 212-8, a lead of 118.
Only 20 were added prior to us wrapping up their innings, Warwickshire all out for 232 – a lead of 138 leaving 139 required to win.
First innings centurion, Alex Lees, fell to the first ball of the second over but Harry Brook and Jonny Tattersall added 49 before Brook was lbw to Singhs first ball for 36 from 41 balls with 6 fours. Will Rhodes was caught at slip from the last ball before tea – 79-3.
Steve Patterson joined Tattersall and they remained unbeaten as we reached our target with 7 wickets to spare – Jonny 34 no from 53 and Steve 45 no from 39 with 8 fours.
