Warwickshire won the toss and decided to bat in a three day game at Harrogate.
They lost Umeed with the score at 11 but that was to be our only success before lunch. They reached that point at 121-1, Westwood 76 no from 90 balls and Banks 37 no from 78.
Post lunch they took their partnership to 151 before Karl Carver had the latter caught behind for 49 from 121 balls with 8 fours. Westwood completed his century from 114 balls with 17 fours and went on to make 142 before he was caught behind (down the leg side) and at tea they had progressed to 243-5.
The last 5 wickets fell for 51 and there were 4 wickets for Jack Brooks and 6 catches for Andrew Hood – Warwickshire 294 all out.
In reply, Jack Leaning departed for 4 with the score at 8 and Jonny Tattersall made 26 from 22 with 5 fours before he was caught behind. At the close we were 55-2.
