It was bitterly cold when Lancashire won the toss and asked us to bat first. Jonny Tattersall and Ryan Gibson added 50 before Ryan was bowled by Simon Kerrigans first ball of his spell. Four balls later Kerrigan accounted for Will Rhodes.
Jack Leaning made 20 from 22 balls with 2 fours and a six to leave us 86-3, that soon became 101-4 when Tattersall became Kerrigans 3rd victim – he had made 48 from 53 with 4×4.
Andrew Hodd joined Matthew Waite and they took the score to 157 when Andrew was lbw to Lilley for 22. Matthew went on to make 70 from 96 balls with 6 fours. There were useful contributions from Matthew Fisher (22) and captain Azeem Rafiq with 20 as we closed on 259-8.
Then came a stoppage due to snow and rain which resulted in 3 overs being lost and a revised target of 253 from 47 overs.
7 balls were bowled before we were off again and this time the outfield turned white!
Several inspections took place but play was abandoned at 6.13pm – 1 point each.
