Yorkshire pushed home their advantage on a rain-affected third day against Lancashire at Emirates Old Trafford, increasing their lead to 171.
Day three dawned with changes to the Yorkshire line up – David Willey and Matthew Fisher were replaced by Ben Ainsley and debutant, Tom Loten.
Unfortunately steady rain delayed play until 4.20pm with 36 overs remaining in the day.
Will Rhodes added six to his overnight total before being caught behind for 176 from 267 balls with 19 fours. Loten was joined by Jonny Read but, having made six, was caught at gully with the score at 409.
Read was last man out having made 21 from 60 balls with the White Rose dismissed for 428, a lead of 171 and 10 overs were left.
Lancashire ended the day at 16-1 Matthew Waite dismissing Jones lbw for 1.
The final day see’s Yorkshire in search of nine wickets with Lancashire currently trailing by 155.
