Emergency fund set up for Cricket Clubs’ affected by Yorkshire floods

— 27 December 2015

Following the severe Boxing Day floods across the region affecting many of our affiliated clubs’, Yorkshire Cricket Board – in-conjunction with the ECB – has set up an emergency fund to support clubs who are affected.

Flood guidance is available here

Clubs’, in the first instance, should send the following information to the Yorkshire Cricket Board, who will set-up a case file and will arrange the process of emergency funding.

  • Key contact info – name, email, mobile number and correspondence address.

Details of damage:

  • What is insured (and has this been assessed)
  • What is uninsured
  • What is immediately resolvable
  • What may be longer term (such as damage to playing surfaces)
  • Cost estimates where available
  • Photographs where available

Information should be sent to Andrew Watson, Executive Director, Yorkshire Cricket Board

We would also be grateful if this information is passed on to all Clubs’ in the affected areas. The YCB will be commencing the implementation of funding from this week.

Yorkshire County Cricket Club would like to pass on our thoughts to everyone hit by the floods across the region. Please stay safe.
