Yorkshire travel to Durham for the last Trophy fixture. With the wind blowing and rain looming, Yorkshire won the toss and put Durham in to bat.
Durham pushed around the ground with opening pair captain, Jennings and keeper Mustard creating a partnership of 149 before spin bowler Carver claimed the only success by dismissing Mustard for 63.
Jennings, joined by Macleod, went on to close the Durham innings taking the score to 331. Jennings created 151 off 156 balls whilst Macleod made 104 off just 59 balls.
Having come off for rain in the previous innings the all-important run rate of the Yorkshire side needed to be high. Callis and Gibson certainly achieved the high run rate at 8 an over until Gibson was caught by ex-Yorkshire player Tattersall for 52 off 47 balls.
After looking strong with the bat and a positive result coming to the white rose side, Yorkshire’s good run came to an end and suddenly lost 5 wickets to spin bowlers Harding and Randhawa, who is also an ex-Yorkshire player. Yorkshire were 179 for 7 with 13 overs to go.
Carver and Ashraf took the teams score over the 200 mark before Ashraf was caught on the boundary edge. Yorkshire finish at 208. A testing performance which could have had a positive result.
