After the two-day game was badly affected by rain it was a welcome sight of sunshine that greeted us.
Again we won the toss and asked Cheshire to bat first. Early wickets were taken by Nathan Goldthorp and Mustafa Rafique to reduce Cheshire to 18-2. A partial recovery saw them reach 57 before losing their 3 rd wicket but they then lost their last 7 wickets for a further 42 being 99 all out in 34.3 overs. There were 2 wickets for Matthew Taylor, 1 for James Logan, a run out but the best figures were returned by Ed Morrison with 4-12 from 8.3 overs with 4 maidens.
Only 23.2 overs were required to reach our target but it was at the cost of 3 wickets. Skipper, Yaasar Imtiaz and Bilal Anjam shared an unbroken 4th wicket partnership of 46 (Yaasar 26no and Bilal 19no). Our total was helped by the contribution of 21 wides.
