Glamorgan won the toss and decided to bat first and reached 70-1 before some excellent bowling reduced them to 94-6 and then 135-9. A last wicket partnership of 30 however enabled them to post 165 all out.
There were three wickets each for Matthew Fisher (3-34); Josh Shaw (3-41) and James Wainman (3-71).
Elliot Callis and Jonathan Tattersall added 58 for the first wicket before the latter was dismissed. Callis went on to make 42 including 4 fours and 2 sixes.
Skipper Dan Hodgson made 30 and the day closed with Yorkshire ahead by 29 runs with 1 wicket remaining, closing on 194-9
