Yorkshire’s finely-balanced Roses match against Lancashire at Headingley was abandoned as a draw after heavy rain washed out any further play on the final day.
Lancashire were due to resume on 48 for three, leading by 130 runs, as Yorkshire chased their first Roses championship victory since 2002.
But heavy rain, which had been predicted for the last two days, wiped out any play and umpires Peter Willey and Ian Gould called off the match shortly after 11.00am.
Yorkshire claimed nine points from the draw and will continue their championship campaign at Northampton on Saturday, which starts at mid-day.
