Birmingham Bears v Yorkshire Vikings: Play Abandoned

— 23 May 2014

Yorkshire Vikings were frustrated in their hopes of bouncing back from their opening round defeat when rain washed out their match with Birmingham Bears at Edgbaston.

Having suffered a narrow three wickets defeat to Northants Steelbacks at Headingley last Friday, Yorkshire were determined to register their first win of this year’s NatWest T20 Blast.

But despite the efforts of ground staff to clear up the Edgbaston surface, umpires Peter Hartley and Peter Willey were forced to call off the game shortly after 8.00pm following steady rain for several hours.
