Strong sides announced for warm-up matches

As part of the team’s preparations for the NatWest T20 Blast season, Yorkshire Vikings will play three T20 warm-up matches in May against local opposition.

  • The Vikings head for Harrogate

    For the second game in the warm-up series, the Vikings take on Harrogate CC XI on Tuesday May 20, 5.30pm start. The match will be in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

    We are pleased to announce that Harry Gration MBE will be the MC for the match that starts at 5.30pm, with gates open from 4pm. The evening promises to be a great spectacle of cricket as well as a fantastic opportunity to raise vital funds for heart research.

    Tickets are £10 per adult, free to Harrogate CC members and Under 15’s, and are available online from or from the Harrogate Cricket Club bar, Asda Harrogate Supermarket, and Monkhouse Intersport. Food and refreshments will be available for sale from beer and food marques. Ticket holders are asked to bring a camping chair as seating will be limited, and to park at Harrogate Grammar School on Arthurs Avenue (parking will not be available at the ground). A cricket bat signed by the Yorkshire team will be raffled off at the event.

  • The City of York turn out for Yorkshire

    YORK CRICKET Club are hailing it as a “once in a lifetime” opportunity – the chance to see Yorkshire’s county heroes perform at Clifton Park.

    The White Rose will play a Yorkshire League Select XI at Clifton Park on Wednesday, May 21, as they bid to get into top form for the NatWest T20 Blast competition and have promised to bring as full a team as possible.

    That outfit will take on a select side including Tykes prospects Jack Leaning, and Ben Coad along with York skipper Dan Woods and prolific former Shipton Road batsman Duncan Snell. It is being staged as part of Tim Brensan’s benefit year.

    Entrance is £5 for adults and £2.50 for OAPS and under-16s. A family ticket costs £10 and people will be admitted on the night of the game with bars at Clifton Park open from 4pm and parking available. The match is due to start at 5.30pm.
