The Yorkshire Pride Lottery is thrilled to announce that actor Jim Carter will be joining us for afternoon tea at Headingley on September 24th.
More commonly known as Lord and Lady Grantham’s Butler Mr Charles Carson, Jim is a self confessed Yorkshire fan and has carefully planned the event to coincide with Yorkshire’s final home Championship match of the season against Somerset.
As well as enjoying what is sure to be an exciting game, Jim will be hosting Afternoon Tea in the Headingley Experience building. He will be talking about his acting career and holding a short question and answer session… and probably also tutting loudly as Battenberg is consumed in a most unrefined manner.
The event will start at 3pm, where a traditional afternoon tea meal will be served, augmented by a glass of Prosecco.
Tickets will be £35 per person. For anyone also wanting to attend the cricket during the day, a £5 surcharge will be added for access to the ground from 9:30am onwards.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to Martin House Children’s Hospice, the Yorkshire Pride Lottery’s chosen charity of 2014. Martin House is based in Clifford, near Wetherby and supports children from across the county who are battling life threatening and life limiting illnesses.
