Join us for the Opening Season Lunch

Tickets went on sale this week for the annual Yorkshire County Cricket Club Opening Season Lunch and as usual, it is proving a popular affair.

Celebrating the arrival of the 2014 season on Friday 4th April 2014, the lunch will include confirmed guest speaker England Cricket Umpire Dickie Bird OBE with Master of Ceremonies, BBC’s David Callaghan conducting a Q&A session with the Club’s coaches.

  • Also joining the event is Matthew Fleming, whose claim to fame includes being former Chairman of the Professional Cricket Association, current Chairman of Cricket at the MCC, Director of Fleming Family & Partners Wealth Management, former Captain of Kent County Cricket Club and nephew of the creator of the James Bond series of books, Ian Fleming. With titles like those we’re sure he’ll have a host of interesting tales to tell!

    More details will be announced closer to the date, timings are also yet to be confirmed but the event is expected to start at 12pm in the Long Room.
