Members will remain the heartbeat of Yorkshire County Cricket Club, with their ‘East Stand’ and ‘Trueman Enclosure’ areas remaining exclusive to book for a period longer than usual, closing on the 31st October 2013. Our Club Yorkshire scheme participants will also be able to purchase tickets in advance and take advantage of the Members’ ticket window.
All prices for international cricket in 2014 at Headingley have been designed with the differing tastes on cricket around the county and country in mind. The Club hopes the renaming of areas of the ground will encourage all varying levels of cricket fan to experience a day at Headingley, where history is made.
The Yorkshire County Cricket Club have also announced a reconfiguration of the ‘West Stand’ ahead of the international ticket release next week.
Renowned across cricket for its electric festival atmosphere entertaining cricketers for decades, the ‘West Stand’ will now become segregated sections to suit each cricket fan alike under the umbrella of the White Rose Stand.
The previous ‘North Stand’ has become the Community Stand and will promote family viewing in an alcohol free environment.
The White Rose Stand, next to the Community Stand is now configured into three sections called the ‘1863 Enclosure’, ‘Popular Enclosure’ and the ‘Fanzone’, each with their own atmosphere and viewing environment.
Andy Dawson, Commercial Director said: “We’re hoping to encourage a welcoming environment for all cricket fans at Headingley, to enjoy their day’s play in an environment they prefer with like-minded supporters.”
He added: “We’ve really invested into families attending as a group and enjoying their day out together and we hope our new alcohol free stand will prove popular, particularly for the internationals.”
“We’re not discouraging the traditional electric atmosphere that Headingley Cricket Ground is famous for, instead we wanted to make Headingley as a whole more accessible to a wider range of cricket fans to enjoy at their own pace.”
