YCCC players to took to the air with Yorkshire aviation company Multiflight to launch the 2-year partnership.
To celebrate Multiflight becoming the ‘Official Private Aviation Partner of Yorkshire CCC’, Azeem Rafiq, Steven Patterson and Jack Brooks climbed aboard Multiflight’s luxury charter Dauphin helicopter for a tour of Yorkshire from the air.
After taking off from Multiflight’s base at Leeds Bradford Airport, the players were treated to a view the spectacular Yorkshire Dales, including an aerial tour of Headingley Cricket Ground.
Once back on the ground the players had a tour of Multiflight’s Boeing 737 which has been chartered by some of the country’s top football teams including Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.
After spending the first part of the afternoon as passengers, the players then tried their hands as pilots at Mutliflight’s in-house flight training centre. Unsurprisingly being professional sportsmen, they were highly competitive, however only 2 of the players successfully landed the simulator: we will leave the identity of the unsuccessful pilot a secret though!
Speaking at Multiflight’s base, Multiflight Finance Director Miles Beecham said: “We are delighted to become the Official Aviation Partner of Yorkshire County Cricket Club. We are firm supporters of the Club and this new sponsorship further cements this. It is the Club’s 150th anniversary this year and it is truly one of the most famous cricket clubs in the world.”
Multiflight offers a full range of aviation services at its base at Leeds Bradford Airport. These include aircraft sales, charter, engineering, aircraft management, executive aircraft handling and flight training. For more details about the company visit www.multiflight.com
