Good morning...

From Scarborough, where it’s another lovely, sunny – and pretty warm – morning ahead of day two, starting at 11am.

Sussex will resume on 210-9, somewhat of a frustration given they were 150-9.

But Yorkshire still had an impressive day one. The wickets were shared around, Jack White excellent in taking three of them. And one of them was helped along by a wow moment as James Wharton took a stunner of an outfield catch.

It truly was one of the memorable moments in Yorkshire’s season. The kind of moment where in 25 years’ time someone says to you, ‘Remember that catch at Scarborough by James Wharton?’ And you will. Those don’t come along very often.

You can read our reaction piece to read Wharton’s thoughts on his catch and read our match report from day one.
