Blaine Clancy arrived at Yorkshire to work alongside Ian Fisher as a Strength and Conditioning Coach ahead of the 2014 county campaign.
Blaine familiarised himself with the club in the 2013 season working an internship alongside former Strength and Conditioning coach Tom Summers. Blaine has studied at Northumbria University and Leeds Metropolitan University. He has also provided Strength and Conditioning services to various student athletes at Leeds Metropolitan University, working mainly with the Men’s Rugby Union Squad.
2005 – 2008 – Gained a Foundation Degree in Sport, Exercise and Fitness from the Causeway Institute in Northern Ireland.
2008 – 2010 – Gained a BSc Honours Degree in Applied Sport and Exercise Sciences from Northumbria University.
2011 – 2012 – Gained an MSc Degree in Sport and Exercise Biomechanics from Leeds Metropolitan University. During this time Blaine also worked within
Biomechanics department at the University, helping with projects involved professional Golf athletes.
2012 – 2013 – Worked as a Strength and Conditioning Intern for Yorkshire County Cricket Club.
2013 – Appointed full-time Strength and Conditioning coach.
