Sue, Stephen and their merry troupe from the YCCC Travel Club enjoyed a fantastic long weekend on the continent following Martyn Moxon’s crack team of 40-over specialists!
Leaving Headingley Carnegie on the Saturday morning (laden with Yorkshire Tea and primed livers!) they travelled by coach up to North Shields where they caught the overnight ferry to Amsterdam. They then made the short hop down to Schiedam where the White Rose produced yet another assured display to relieve their orange foes of 2 well-earned points!
Once the important business was over they made haste back to Amsterdam where, by all accounts, they immersed themselves fully in Dutch culture for 24 hours before returning to Headingley on the Tuesday morning.
Many thanks to Sue for organising everything. With every passing trip the Travel Club grows in stature and I sincerely hope you will all consider supporting her on any future jaunts!
While I’m on that matter she is considering, in conjunction with Sports and Corporate Group Travel, putting together a package for the (crosses every available appendage) CB40 Final at Lord’s on September 18th. It would greatly appreciated if you could contact her to express an interest as soon as you can. Admittedly there’s still a long was to go in the competition but can you honestly imagine the lads letting this slip through their fingers after they’ve worked so hard all season?
