Yorkshire's Champion Winning Captains

In Yorkshire’s long and distinguished history 12 captains have lifted the holy grail, The County Championship title.

The most successful skipper was Lord Hawke, who captained Yorkshire to eight Championship crowns between 1893 and 1908.

Brian Sellars, who was at the helm during the 1930s and 40s it what many regard as Yorkshire’s ‘Golden Age’, led the county to six Championship victories.

Here is a list of legendary dozen. Will current Yorkshire captain Andrew Gale add himself to legendary status? Only time will tell.
